Since it's my last day of summer before heading back to school for 10th grade I thought it would only be appropriate to reflect on the whirlwind but wonderful summer. I started off with the exciting experience of drivers ed and finally getting to drive. Shortly after my family had to make an unexpected trip to Florida because of the dear loss of my beloved Pippa. I miss him dearly and although all my family was gathered together for such a terrible reason it was nice to spend a couple days with them. I got the wonderful opportunity to raise $3243.00 for the wonderful organization Little Pink Houses of Hope. Thanks to that experience it has helped me narrow down what I would like to do as career later on. Thanks to my wonderful dad who will honestly drive me anywhere (close ;) hehe) I got to meet Chris Colfer from Glee and get his autograph at his book signing. After ~18 months of braces I finally got them off which made me very happy! Getting my hair finally done was also achieved thanks to my lovely mother. I also got the opportunity to spend a couple days with my life long best friends Celeste and Lydia and even it was just a couple days, they were the best. Finally going to 6 Flags with my dad and sister also made the agenda. Who doesn't love riding roller coasters, sharing lots of laughs and memories like taking your sister on her first roller coaster.Checking a few things off the bucket list this summer like visiting where they filmed a part of TFIOS, eating at a restaurant featured on "Diners Drives and Dives", and go to the Drive In (the first 2 done at our trip to Indianapolis). Downtown Chicago was also visited quite a few times this summer. Many great memories were spent with my cousins, aunt, and uncle who live nearby like the drive in, lake day, weekend sleepovers, etc. I'm so grateful for all the wonderful memories I made this summer and all the wonderful people I got to spend it with. I'm just sad to see that it was quickly over and I'm excited to see what the rest of the year has in store for me. The song I leave you all with is "Summer" By: Calvin Harris.

Cruising Into Summer
Hello readers, I apologize for not blogging in over 2 months! I've been really busy with lacrosse and school. Now that I have many moments of free time I can finally fulfill your needs of wanting to know whats going on in my life (creepy much... (; hehe) Anyway my teams lacrosse season ended well even if we didn't have the greatest record. We improved so much a team and I think that's way more important then winning every game even though that would have been nice. I feel so blessed to have made so many new friends and I cannot wait till next lacrosse season. I've officially been out of school for a week now and boy does it feel good. All my finals and boring/stressful classes are done until August (lets not think that far ahead yet). Since my last post in March my family has gotten a little kitten named Cali and she is so precises and I love her with all my heart! She always brings a smile to my face and truly brightens up my family and our home. I have seen many great movies like "Captain America: The Winter Solider","The Amazing Spiderman 2", X-Men: Days of Futures Past", and "The Fault in Our Stars" all of which I highly recommend because they're great movies! I'm very excited because this past week I started my summer school course of Drivers Ed. Yes I am learning to drive and in 9 months I will have my licences, so watch out pedestrians!! Since my freshman year of high school has come to a close I would just like to look back and say what a great year I had. I've made so many new friends and have and experienced so many new opportunities so far and I can't wait to see what my sophomore year and rest of my high school career has in store for me. Moving to Chicago has really made me happy as you might remember I really DIDN'T like Roanoke. Ever since moving to Chicago I have been so much happier. The school and everyone at my new school are so great and nice. My counselor is young and just really nice and great. Also having a favorite teacher really helps, which so happens to be my newspaper teacher. He is really nice and funny and that class period has a great atmosphere and I can't wait till next year to be in my favorite class. A couple weeks ago I got the privilege to hang out with of my friends from Roanoke when she came into town and I had a great time with her. It was so nice to hang out with someone I really new and new me really well. I'm looking forward to a great summer and can't wait for the rest of it! Hope everyone has a great summer as well. March Madness
Hello readers, sorry it's taken so long to get a blog post in. Just settling into our new life in Chicago and boy is it great (minus the weather haha). Since my last post my family has made the big move to Chicago. It was a crazy road to get here because of various factors. For example the weather caused us to get stuck in a hotel (in VA) for 3 days and trust me it wasn't fun. My sister and I started at our new schools a week later and so far it's going great. I really do enjoy my school, but it was defiantly different from my old school. The people are really nice and I'm thankful for that. It's March so that means its lacrosse season once again! I'm very happy to say that I made my school's team and I'm looking forward to a great season. A couple weeks ago I got to go to a Before You Exit concert with my dad. It was a lot of fun and I had a great time, plus I got to meet the beautiful boys. They were super nice and I'm glad I got to meet them. I'm looking forward to attending a lot of great concerts here in the Windy City. I'm currently on Spring Break and I'm very excited to have a break from school. While my family surprisingly isn't going out of the state for the break (haha) we still have some plans. We're going into the city this week then towards the end of the week my sister and I are going to see "Divergent" with our cousins. I'm looking forward to these plans. The reason that we're not going somewhere out of state is because recently my mom's recent scans came back showing a little progression in her cancer so they have to try a new treatment this week. I'm hoping this set of treatments works even better than the last one because I love my mom more than anything and I just want the best for her. If you could just keep her in your thoughts that would really make this easier. On a happier note earlier in the month my mom and I finally got to see the highly anticipated "Veronica Mars" movie! It was a great movie and we loved every minute of it. Definitely buying it when it comes out on DVD. If only the series would come back on, but the book series will make it easier. If you haven't seen I highly recommend you do. I hope you all have a great rest of the week! The song I leave you all with today is "Loosing Sleep" By: John Newman. ~Veronica <3 xoxo

Fabulous Fabruary
Hello readers I'm trying to get a head start on posting this month. On February 13th I will have been blogging for two years. Boy does time fly haha it doesn't feel like it has been two years already. I'm so proud of myself for keeping up with this for so long and I can't wait to see where this will take me in the future. I'm very excited because next week is the finally the big day where my family moves up to Chicago. I've been waiting for this day for a very long time. My love for big cities is even greater then my excitement. Hopefully living so close to one will bring me many great opportunities. My sister Mackenzie's birthday is coming up on Valentines day and I wanted to wish her a early happy birthday. I love her so much even if we do fight a lot. She is so beautiful and she is growing up so fast. I couldn't ask for a better younger sister. HAPPY EARLY BIRTHDAY KENZIE! This past weekend I got to spend some alone time with my mom at the movie theater where we watched "Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit". It was such a great movie which we both really enjoyed almost as much as we enjoyed spending time together. Also this past weekend I got to spend time with some good friends for a last time before my family packs up for Chi town. All in all it was a great weekend. I'm looking very forward to the coming months. Especially next month when I finally get my learner's permit. Yet another piece of freedom in my life, but yet such another big responsibility. Boy am I ready to start driving though. I also wanted to recognize that today is national cancer day. To me this subject really hits home because my mom currently has cancer and I'm so thankful that she is still in my life and I hope she is for the rest of my life. To learn more about cancer you can visit http://www.cancer.org/ and you can also help by donating to help get closer to finding the cure. If you know anyone with breast cancer you visit the following website to help give their family a great weekend on a beach along with other great people http://www.littlepink.org/ . I hope you all have a great rest of the week. The song I leave you all with today is "Life Keeps Moving On" By: Ben Rector. ~Veronica <3 xoxo

Ringing in The New Year
I really need to get a better schedule going on when to blog haha. I'm lucky enough to remember to blog at least once a month sorry readers. Christmas break and Christmas was amazing. I wish the break would have lasted longer because who wants to go back to school. I got a lot of great gifts two of which included an electric guitar and a signed "Glee" script from the second episode of the first season. After opening presents with my family we packed our stuff into the car and headed up to Chicago to go house hunting. It was beyond cold during our trip (talking about 1 degree cold). I had a great New Years with my family ringing it in our hotel room even if my parents were already asleep haha. House hunting was also good. After walking through what seemed like 100 houses in the span of three days we finally found a house. It just so happened to be the first house we had looked at. I was very surprised of the dirtiness of some of the houses we looked at. The same thought kept running through my head "you wan't to sell your house right?" I'm very happy with the house we ended up choosing because the house is just the right size for us, the whole neighborhood is very cute, and finally its right by a train station! Not going to lie but I am nervous about starting at a new school half way through the year but I know I'll get over the nerves. Currently counting down the days till we move and it feels so far away but I know it isn't and I wish the day would come sooner. These past couple of weeks my mom has been in and out of business trips so for my dad, sister, and I it most likely means we fend for our self for dinner or we have something simple like cereal, roman noodles, etc. Tonight though I thought I would cook dinner for my dad and sister. On the menu is some kind of swirly noodle and the white pasta sauce. I'm a chef protege you could say haha. This weekend I get to spend the night with my friends at a going away party for mwa and then hopefully get my toes done with my mom on Saturday. Finishing up the weekend and any free time throughout the weekend with season two of "Veronica Mars". I'm currently in a re-watch of VMars just in time for the movie in March which I am very excited for! I hope you all have a fabulous rest of the week HAPPY 2014 (a little late I know (; ...) The song I leave you all with is "Happy"-Pharrell Williams. ~Veronica <3 xx
